Adjuncts
An interesting (though too short) story on CNN's web site about one of the unforseen effects of state funding cuts at many state universities -- the rise of adjunct faculty. To be fair, this is not a problem reserved only at state schools.
Note that the woman featured at the beginning of the report is teaching four courses per term -- as an adjunct!
