“How do we prepare faculty to handle those kinds of situations if they don’t have any previous experience?”

As someone who appreciates study abroad programs (and rues that I didn't pursue one when I was an undergraduate student), I read this article with significant interest.

The necessity for having fully prepared faculty who are involved in such programs is heightened by an unusual case from Wyoming, where a community college's administration attempted to scuttle reports about how its faculty handled a 2008 study abroad session.

Read through to the bottom of the original article, as it highlights whether restrictions on studying and traveling to Cuba ought to be reduced.
