Another wild ride on Wall Street

The Los Angeles Times sent this news alert shortly after the stock market closed at 4:00 p.m. EDT:
The Dow Jones industrial average closed down more than 520 points today as investors continued to worry about the global economy. Investors were disheartened by reports that European banks might be vulnerable and by the Federal Reserve's gloomy U.S. economic outlook.
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier today that long-time Wall Street watchers are stunned by what they've seen.
