This is a perfect example...

...of your preconceived biases crashing head on with a potentially biased news organization.

The Daily NK,according to Yahoo News, reports that the government is punishing North Korean citizens who failed to show sincere sadness after the recent death of Kim Jong Il.
The online North Korean newspaper, which is published by opponents of the governing regime, said a source in North Hamkyung Province revealed the information. The source told the paper “authorities are handing down at least six months in a labor-training camp to anybody who didn’t participate in the organized gatherings during the mourning period, or who did participate but didn’t cry and didn’t seem genuine,” according to the Daily NK.
Now, I am not saying the information in the Daily NK report is incorrect, and I am certainly not suggesting that the North Korean government isn't beyond making sacrificial lambs of its citizens just to make a point. But I am saying that you need to consider a variety of factors before deciding whether this story is true as reported.
